Family Support Services

Family Support Services at CHS provides peer support, information, referral and education to parents of children with emotional or behavioral needs. At CHS, we accomplish these goals through a variety of services. All services are free to parents and caregivers.

Respite and Skill Building services are provided to families that are involved in the SPOA program, clients of the Saratoga County Department of Mental Health, Medicaid’s Home Community Based Waiver and other County Case management programs. These services are provided as supports to families at high levels of need.

To help you access, navigate and learn about your child's rights relating to school systems, service providers and the community. Direct assistance can be provided in preparing for meetings such as SSI, CSE, Medicaid, and other service provider meetings.

Proactive Intervention and Information:

Assistance through short-term case management for families whose children are experiencing behavioral issues. Information can be provided to help you connect with needed services and supports.

Referrals to other services, both within and outside of CHS can be made.
